Terms of Service

1. About ForReal.dating

ForReal.dating is a service operated by DCRN Inc., a corporation incorporated in the Province of Ontario, Canada. Throughout these Terms, "ForReal," "we," "us," and "our" refer to DCRN Inc. and its service ForReal.dating. By using the Service, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with DCRN Inc.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on ForReal.dating ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

4. Identity Verification

All members must complete identity verification, including submission of government-issued photo identification and a live video selfie. You agree to provide accurate and truthful information during this process. Accounts that cannot be verified will be suspended.

4. Radical Transparency — No Expectation of Privacy for On-Site Behavior

This is the most important section. Please read it carefully.

ForReal.dating is built on the principle of radical transparency. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your profile information (age, gender, sexual orientation, appearance, interests, dating intent, etc.) is visible to all other members.
  • Your on-site behavior is tracked and publicly displayed. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • The dating intents you search for.
    • The age ranges of people you initiate conversations with.
    • Your average response time to messages.
    • How many conversation requests (CRs) you have sent that are outstanding currently.
    • How many conversation requests (CRs) you have in your inbox that are unopened.
    • Percentage of your conversation requests (CRs) that have been rejected without reading, rejected after reading, or accepted.
    • How many conversations you have ended, and why.
    • Percentage of your conversations that led to meet-and-greet in-person meetings.
    • Demerit points accumulated for low-effort messages, ghosting, or other negative behaviors.
  • This behavioral data is visible to every other member on the site, not just to people you have contacted.
  • There is no privacy for how you behave on this platform. If you send low-effort messages, contact people wildly outside your age range, ghost conversations, or otherwise behave poorly, this will be visible to everyone.

If you are not comfortable with your dating behavior being publicly visible, do not use this Service. There are many other dating platforms that offer more privacy. This one does not, by design.

5. Private Communications

The content of your messages (the actual text you write to other members) is private between you and the recipient. The Service does not display your message content to other members. However, metadata about your messages (count, timing, response intervals) is public as described in Section 4.

6. Member Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Create fake profiles or impersonate another person.
  • Use the Service for spam, advertising, or solicitation.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other members.
  • Post obscene, offensive, or illegal content.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Service.
  • Attempt to circumvent the identity verification system.
  • Share your account credentials with others.

7. Content You Provide

You retain ownership of photos and text you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant the Service a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display that content to other members as part of the normal operation of the platform. You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload.

8. Account Termination

You may pause, hide, or delete your account at any time from your profile page. The Service reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at its sole discretion. Deleted accounts are permanently removed.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, by DCRN Inc., its officers, directors, employees, or agents. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not guarantee that you will find a date. (Sorry.)

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DCRN Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to emotional distress, hurt feelings, or bad dates. If any liability is found, you agree that DCRN Inc.'s total liability shall be limited to the amount you have paid to use the Service (which is generally zero dollars, because the Basic Service is free).

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You irrevocably attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, situated in the City of Ottawa. Any litigation, claim, or dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. If you attempt to bring a claim in any other jurisdiction, you agree to reimburse DCRN Inc. for all costs incurred in having the matter transferred to the proper jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
